This is a Cabernet from Fresh & Easy. We picked this up one Saturday night and enjoyed it with bruschetta. |
| $12 from Fresh & Easy. |

- Slight aromas of nutmeg and other Christmas spices.
- Slight hint of cherry in the taste with holiday spices.
- A bit tart on the finish…a bit like raspberry
- This wine really conjured up images and feelings of Christmas….Felt like going home to family after being away for a long time and laughing together around a big Christmas dinner…..of course sine it is the middle of the summer and fond memories are all that are left we no longer remember all the Christmas fights over politics and sports with drunk Uncle “Larry”

 |
- Anise and wood in the aroma.
- Tastes of woody oak and dark berries
- Very earthy, leathery flavors and aromas
- Decanting with a filter is recommend as there is some sediment.
- Very Earthy and comfortable…like walking into your grandfathers library and he is sitting there by the fire. there is a distinguised air about it and it makes you want to linger there for a long time.

This is a Cabernet Merlot blend from Italy with 53% Cabernet and 47% Merlot. |
| $8 Purchased from Bashas. |
 |
- Notes of blackberries in the bouquet.
- Smooth and mild tasting but also a very flat.
- A medium finish with hints of spice and mild tannins.
- This is the Budweiser, or Molson of wine. It has been mass produced and marketed so as not to offend anyones taste… kinda like listening to the latest boy band… You know who they are and what they sing but once you hear one of their songs you wonder why you did not change the station.

This is a Cabernet from the Amber Knolls Vinyard of the 75 Wine Company in Lake County California. I enjoyed a glass of this Cab at the Brushfire Grill in Gilbert AZ with my BBQ Chicken. They are serving it for around $10 a glass so you would be able to pick up a bottle elsewhere for around $20. |
| $20 |
 |
- Dark deep purple hues.
- Aromas of spice and earth.
- Tastes of minerals and oak with a mild berry finish.
- Moderate tannins and dry.
- Goes great with foods like BBQ and steak.
- This wine is like a classic song that you just don’t get tired of. Every time you listen you hear something new and you find that even after many years you can still appreciate it.

This is a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley in California. I picked up a bottle of this wine after having Chinese food and I wish I had it during the meal. It was great on it’s own thought and I wouldn’t hesitate to pick it up again. |
| $7 Purchased from Bashas. |
 |
- Hints of blackberries and smoke in the aroma with a touch of pepper and spice.
- Nice balance of rich dark berries and earthy tones.
- Good full bodied flavor that would go great with your favorite dinner dish.
- Slightly sweet at the start, but finishes nicely with earthy notes.
- This is a great Cab for the price. Loons always remind me of Canada, and this bottle was no exception. This is a down to earth well mannered bottle of wine that has a bit of an edge to it. It would try hard not to offend anyone that it didn’t know very well. You could serve this bottle of wine to anyone and be proud of it.

A Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County California. |
| $10 Purchased at Trader Joe’s |
 |
- A smooth wine with medium tannins.
- Slightly smokey.
- Fruit flavors of berries and peaches.
- Smooth and drinkable.
- Good wine for the price.
- Nothing overly exciting here but you do get a better product than the price projects and that is the main reason for the three trophies. Sorta like going to a Baseball game and seeing extra innings…a little extra baseball for your buck that you did not expect…but not as thrilling as hockey or football.

A Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma California. This is a wine that is a favorite of Mike and Eddie. The price as combined with how well it tastes makes it a definite winner when serving this great bottle. |
| $10 Purchased at Trader Joe’s and Fry’s |
 |
- A dryer wine that is very earthy.
- Notes of cigar and leather yet it’s not overpowering.
- Easy to drink.
- So much better than its price suggests.
- The wine is like the girl that can make a $15.00 dress from a vintage clothing shop look like a Juicy Couture off the rack at Saks Fifth Avenue.
