• This wine has herbal smells from the opening.
• Fruity hints of strawberry and strawberry tastes.
• Smooth and easy, nice mouth feel with low tannins
• Blackberry tastes at the end.
• This wine is a little like the lower end contract player that is signed for a low to mid range dollar amount and does what expected by filling a role that is needed, but does not exceed any performance expectations.  It would be nice if they performed above their contract level, but they don’t so that’s what you get!  Still a great bargain that does what it needs to.

This is a cousin wine of Big House Red that we reviewed earlier. $11 from Safeway.

• Smells of cinnamon and wet earth.
• Hints of peach in the taste.
• Tastes of boysenberry.
• This wine would be much better with a good solid 1/2 pound cheeseburger fresh off the grill.
• While this wine is O.K…..I am not sure that I would be willing to go to the Slammer for this bottle.

Actually the grapes are from the Williamette Valley in Oregon but the wine was bottled and cellared in Sonoma County California. $11 Purchased from Fresh and Easy.

• Strong apple aroma.
• flavors of candied fruit.
• Sweet at first but mellows out at the end.
• Very good wine for the price.
• It’s a wine that is easy to drink and much like watching your kids play. They are innocent, sweet and open to new experiences. We suggest that you open you mind and try this wine.

• Average tannins.
• This wine is the girl that is the safe bet…you can find her just about anywhere…she won’t let you down but she won’t overly excite you either.

• Strawberry and vanilla notes.
• Fruity but not sweet.
• Easy to drink but there is a lot to it.
• This 47 pound rooster is definitely not a turkey. She is cheap enough to take out every weekend yet complex enough to keep you interested.
