Here is a place where you can suggest specific wines for us to review, and we will give our opinions and thoughts. Or if you need a wine suggestion, you can give us a price range and purpose and we will send you a list of wine that will more than likely meet your needs. Or you can just ask us any question you have about wine and we will find the answer for you.

Washington State, wine of the year in Wine Spectator,$30,this will ruin the pricing on Washington state wines..What do you think?

  2. Mike says:

Yes, good suggestion. We’ve thought of that and will look to implement in the future. Thanks!

  3. Tim says:

Mike, how about a “search by country” option?

  4. Mike says:

Hi Roger. We have tried the 2006, but we have not reviewed it here as of yet. It is a very similar wine to the 2005 vintage. Take a look at our 2005 review and you will have a really good idea of what the 2006 will be like.

  5. Roger OBrien says:

I purchased a 2006 Charles Shaw Cabernet Sauvignon, what is it’s rating?

  6. Eddie says:

Shawn, thanks for your comments. You can in fact search wine reviews on our site by highest to lowest rated by clicking on the trophy links right under categories on the right side of the screen. As to searching by price…that is a great idea and we will look into adding a section that will allow you to search by price range. Thanks again for visiting our site.

  7. Shawn says:

Suggestion for the site. It would be helpful if there was a way to sort the wine reviews highest/lowest rated, lowest/highest price, etc.

Hello Eddie – as a neighbor who has shared the delight of your sangria, i
am wondering if it’s possible to make frozen sangria? if so, can I just
freeze the sangria recipe you already gave me?

thank you! see you at the pool

The difference in the alcohol content listed on alcoholic beverages in Canada and
America is based oh how each country measures the content. In America the content is based on weight
and in Canada it is measured by volume. That is why you get the illusion that Canadian beer is
stronger than American beer. Alcohol content is essentially the same between the two countries.

  10. Zena R from N Cali says:

Are the alcohol percentages equivalent for all countries, or like beer (american vrs canadian), is the process different in determining their strength?

OK, can’t resist one more: Australia is a big country with ~10 major wine regions. Can you please expand your country of origin statement to show the region? At a minimum, the State would be useful.

One more thing – the ability to search by country of origin would be nice

Aussie suggestions for you to try:
Pinot from Victoria – preferably the Mornington Peninsula area.
Pinot from Western Australia – it’s all great, and is distinctive from other Aussie Pinot
Sparkling (AKA Champagne if you’re naughty) from Tasmania – yum!
Truth be known, Australia has a completely ridiculous range of reds and whites, of tremendous quality. Unfrtunately for you guys, most exported Aussie wine is made for a targeted audience…as in it’s not so great. But if you keep your eyes open, and avoid most of the stuff with a kangaroo on the label, you’ll be very happy.

    Good drinking,

Just attended a fantastic wine pairing dinner with the winemaker from Golden Mile Cellars in the Okanagan. Fantastic wines, all around. Best yet, the winemaker brought a new sparkling for the dessert course that won’t be released for another 2 years! It was awesome.

Anyway, don’t know if you’ll be able to get it in AZ but I definitely recommend the Golden Mile Black Arts — http://goldenmilecellars.com/wine/red/bapinotnoir .

I think Eddie (and his love of Pinot Noirs) would be all over this one!

Also fantastic (although I’m sure the food it was paired with helped!) was the Chardonnay 2005 and the Road 13 Red for something less pricey.

Keep up the good work guys!

We will look for it and review it once we find it.. Thank you for the suggestion

hello, could you please do a review of the Alamos malbec. it is a fantastic chilean wine. thanks.

  17. Mike says:

Thanks for the suggestion Ryan, it’s good to hear from ya. I have not tried LaFrenz wines before, but I will be looking for them now. We love a good wine from the Okanagan Valley!

  18. Ryan Todd says:

Some of the best wines that I have had the pleasure of tasting are the Montage and Merlot from LaFrenz in between Penticton and Naramata. http://www.lafrenzwinery.com

  19. Mike says:

Lawrence, We certainly have plans to try some good Australian wines very shortly. Do you have one that you recommend for us that is available state side?

  20. Lawrence says:

Must say I’m disappointed by the complete absence of representation of the best wine regions of the world – Australia of course. Can you please work on that? Happy to help out :-)

  21. Eddie says:

We will be on the lookout for this wine
