Joe Blow Red (California, 2005)

Joe Blow Red (California, 2005) When we first looked at this bottle with it’s funky label we did not have high expectations. We have been disappointed in the past with trendy looking labels. This bottle did not just surpass our expectations….it smashed our expectations. This is a bottle that you must pick up when you get the chance. The price is right and the complexity is so much fun.
$9 from Sprouts
Four Trophies
  • Strong aromas of fresh, and crisp red berries
  • Slight scent of dark moist soil
  • Not very sweet, but has a nice balance of fruit and earthiness
  • Felt soft and velvety in the mouth
  • Flavors of strawberry and caramel with a hint of vanilla on the tip of the tongue
  • Like meeting someone that just rubs you the wrong way at first but then after a while you find that you misjudged them and they have actually become a good friend that you would not trade for the world.

You should be able to find this wine at your local Trader Joes, or BevMo. If you have a Total Wine, that is a great place too. If not try looking up the winery to see if they have links to sellers. Good luck!

My new favorite. Shopping the sales here in California. Usually 13.99, found it for 3.99 at my favorite store tonight.

[...] marketing and gives it and similar labels credit for bringing new wine drinkers into the market. Just A Grape scores it a four our of five. The Whinery kind of liked it, but suggests it might be a good base [...]

I had the pleasure of meeting the couple that produces this fine tasting
wine, they are wonderful people. Jane Berkley gave us a bottle of this
(our boat shop sponsored her boat)when she and her husband were in Marble Falls and Jane was competing in
the boat drag races, she was the only female driver. We have just tasted this
this Joe Blow Wine and will be purchasing more. It is much smoother than the L
the Le Crema I have always loved!

I really liked this wine — have served it twice and our company really enjoyed it and asked details — what kind and where purchased. It is $17 at BC liquor stores.
