This wine was very smooth right out of the bottle. Ten minutes of venting and it was even better. Had it with pizza – very tasty. It is sturdy enough to drink on its own – but this is definitely a wine that needs food – pasta and tomato sauce for sure. At $6 (TJ’s) you will NOT be disappointed.

Good question! Actually, the “hints of moist earth” note was in reference to the aroma of the wine, not the taste. You know that smell of dark, moist, fertile soil. Smell some soil next chance you get – this wine had a lot of that going on. Combine that with the flower smells and it was really quite something.
